Christmas Meditation Script [Journey to Holiday Serenity]

Find a comfortable seat, either sitting up tall or lying down. Gently close your eyes and bring focus inward. Take a deep relaxing breath in...and slowly exhale out any tension. 
Set your intention for this time by thinking “May this be a period of calm and renewal.” Say the intention once more silently to yourself. Take another slow, full breath.
Bring attention to the natural flow of your breath... Noticing each inhale bringing vitality and clarity into your body and mind...and exhaling any stress or heaviness from your system.  
On your next exhale, say silently “Softening.” On the following breaths, mentally scan your body and actively release any areas of tightness. 
With your next few breath cycles, think “I am open and ready to receive” - receiving all the joy, connection and meaning this holiday invites. If you’d like, repeat this phrase aloud. 
When you are feeling centered and receptive, turn your focus to imagining a clear path ahead through an enchanted, snow-filled forest. 
We will continue our inner journey into the magic of the holiday season when you are ready to proceed. For now, continue following each breath with relaxed awareness.
Visualize the path ahead opening up into a tranquil snow-blanketed clearing... Take in the beautiful sight all around you... Sparkling powdery snow weighing down pine boughs... Icicles glinting in the pale sunlight... Up above the bare treetops, glimpse patches of pastel blue sky...
Breathe deeply of the fresh, crisp air. As you do, say to yourself “I let go.” Feel it clearing tension from mind and body.
Hear the profound silence of this quiet place, interrupted only by the soft sound of snowflakes landing around you. Think “I am here now fully.”
Reach down and let your gloves hand sink into the soft snowbank beside you. Notice how it yields gently, allowing you in. Say aloud what you observe in this moment. 
See the puffs of crystal breath emerge as you exhale slowly. Feel the cold air circulating in and out. Sense the aliveness this winter stillness holds.
When you feel prepared, we will proceed along the path, moving toward connection and warmth. But for now, simply stand in the peaceful solitude of this snow-filled clearing...

Make your way closer and admire the multicolored holiday lights draped on the eaves of cozy homes... Notice wisps of smoke swirling up from brick chimneys... Observe families inside each window, gathering together, exchanging gifts and embracing...
Breathing in this scene fully, recall your most cherished holiday memories... Images may arise of joy you've shared with loved ones... special traditions... feelings of belonging and community... Appreciate all those who have touched your life in meaningful ways. Say silently the names of a few people you are especially grateful for.
Step now into this village of connection...Feel welcomed by the spirit of the season... Know that wherever you are, you can surround yourself with the warmth of joyful memories and kind wishes for those dear to you...
Pause here next to a festively decorated community tree to reflect on the people and blessings that fill your heart with joy and light... When you feel ready with renewed spirit, we will emerge from the village onto the final stretch of our Christmas inner journey...
