Do Isochronic really work? The question is often asked by those who are skeptical of many of the claims made about Isochronic Tones.
It is, of course, a fair one.
Isochronic Tones are frequently used in suggestion therapies, meditation and other self-improvement programs and courses and the claims for their benefits range from quitting smoking to losing weight to turning your entire life around.
But are any of these supposed benefits of Isochronic Tones really true? That is–do Isochronic Tones actually do what people say they can do?
Let’s take a look at what isochronic tones are, if they could help you today, and which ones might provide you with the most potential!
What are Isochronic Tones?
First, let’s take a look at what Isochronic Tones actually are.
In short, they are specialized tone recordings which are created to run along certain frequencies which can be picked up by human hearing.
These tones are especially designed to help you tap into differing levels of consciousness, which are in turn believed to help you achieve a variety of things—such as reaching a level of consciousness that will make you susceptible to hypnotherapy, or achieving a relaxed state which will allow you to meditate, and others.
For example: If you’re listening to an isochronic tone recording which uses frequencies which cause the brain to produce 10 Hz frequencies–or frequencies which coincide with the alpha brainwave state—then your brain will more easily slip into this state.
While your brain is in an alpha brainwave state, you may be able to meditate, rid yourself of habits or addictions, and other positive improvements.
The key to using Isochronic Tones is to tap into a level of consciousness using these frequencies which will, in some way, allow you to improve yourself.
It’s kind of like building the foundation for a new building.
You could start building right on top of the ground, but how sound would that structure be?
If you use a solid foundation, however, that building can stand up to many more conditions and still be strong.
But do isochronic tones really work? Can they be that mental foundation that people need to truly tap into their full potential?
The answer to this question is: yes… but it depends.
Sometimes, isochronic tones are promoted as something of a one-size-fits-all solution to plenty of life’s woes.
“Just listen to this recording and you’ll rid yourself of relationship problems!” or “Just listen to this recording at night and you’ll stop smoking!”
When isochronic tones are promoted like they are a general “cure all” for everyone and anyone, it is usually because the manufacturer of the tones wants to sell more product—which you can’t necessarily blame them for, but it’s not the entire truth and should not be marketed as such.
Do they have the potential of benefiting everyone who uses them in some way?
Of course they do!
Are they guaranteed to work? That’s another issue that must be addressed.
Do Isochronic Tones Work the Same for Everyone?
The reality of isochronic tones is that they are not a one-size-fits-all tool and they are not always the right choice for everyone.
That fact is true in just about any aspect of medical science.
To assume that anything will be effective 100% of the time is a recipe for consistent failure because nothing can meet every expectation placed on it all of the time!
First, Isochronic Tones should not be considered a product or a program by themselves—they are, however, part of a tool which could improve your life in one or multiple ways when used correctly.
Listening to an isochronic recording will not instantly make you stop smoking.
But listening to an isochronic recording will help you get into a state which could help you curb your addiction to cigarettes because your brain is tuned into a state which makes you more susceptible to changing your behavior.
Secondly, Isochronic Tones do not work for everyone.
This is an unfortunate truth, but one that must be stated.
They do work—but they may not necessarily work for you at all or they may not work for you in the exact same way that they work for your friend or for someone writing an online review, and so on.
One person might find that they were the perfect tool to help them reduce stress, while you might feel no such effect—and so on.
Why do they work differently for everyone?
The truth is not 100% known.
It is known, however, that the brain and body are unique and they will react to isochronic tones differently from person to person.
One person may find that their brain easily slips into an alpha state after listening to isochronic tones, while someone else may find it nearly impossible to get into an alpha state even after being exposed to isochronic tones.
Sometimes the reason for an ineffective isochronic tone lies more with technique than the brain.
If you haven’t had success with isochronic tones, ask yourself this: Am I truly relaxing? Am I focused on the task at hand? Or is my mind wandering to daily events, such as paying the bills or worried about my relationships? Will you get that project at work completed on time … or will your boss come down on you like a ton of bricks?
If you aren’t using the tones properly, then you won’t ever know if they could have really worked for you.
And then finally, isochronic tones may have limited success for individuals who suffer from some form of hearing damage.
If you have reduced hearing capabilities, wearing a hearing aid, or have some other form of artificial hearing assistance, then these tones may not register in the same sound frequencies for your hearing and so their effects would be potentially negated.
You’ll still feel the rhythms of the tones and this can have a tremendous effect on the body too, but the full benefits of this tool may not make themselves known.
Should You Try Isochronic Tones?
The real question, however, is this: Should you try isochronic tones?
I believe that the only answer to this question is a resounding, definite “YES.”
Isochronic tones can have an amazing effect on your life and if you are affected by them and can use them to benefit yourself, then you won’t look back.
The worst that could happen is that you have spent a few hours relaxing without getting to the deeper brainwave levels that you hoped isochronic tones could take you to—that’s it.
They are not dangerous in any way.
They will simply bring you into a deeper stage of relaxing whenever you use them and that can help your mind access its creative centers in an easier way.
Isochronic tones may not work for you, it’s true.
But if they do work for you, you have opened yourself up to a world where you can train yourself to achieve relaxed states that you never dreamed possible, states where you can train your mind to be sharper, to improve your memory, to rid yourself of bad habits and so, so much more.
The only way to discover if they can work for you is to try them for yourself.
Give isochronic tones an honest chance and you might discover one of the best tools available today that will help you relax.
